How do you pronounce 'chorizo'? If you've been relatively sure in your assumption that it is pronounced as "chuh-rits-oh" or, in the case of Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin, as "shuh-ree-zoh", you're wrong.
On an episode of Masterchef, Rankin confused viewers by pronouncing the Spanish meat as "shuh-ree-zoh" instead of "chuh-ree-zoh".

Speaking to BBC News Figueroa-Clark commented on Rankin's pronunciation and suggested he may have been influenced by the Portuguese spelling, "chouriço", which is pronounced as "shoh-ree-soo".
But it's not only chorizo that causes people to stumble, you could very well be butchering the pronunciation of a handful of other foods...
